Con el prop\u00f3sito de garantizar el derecho a una alimentaci\u00f3n adecuada para ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os, el Instituto Electoral del Estado de M\u00e9xico (IEEM) cuenta con un Lactario para mam\u00e1s trabajadoras de la instituci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como para usuarias del edificio institucional.

Inaugurado en 2015, el lugar est\u00e1 equipado con todo lo necesario para ser un espacio privado, higi\u00e9nico y c\u00f3modo donde las madres pueden alimentar a sus beb\u00e9s o, si lo requieren, extraer leche y almacenarla adecuadamente.

El Lactario cuenta con refrigerador, dos sillones, lavabo, mesa, esterilizador de biberones, cambiador de pa\u00f1ales, cesto de basura antiolores y manuales de t\u00e9cnicas de amamantamiento; adem\u00e1s tiene un horario a libre demanda para atender las necesidades de alimentaci\u00f3n de los infantes.

En este espacio que se ubica en la planta baja del Instituto, a un costado de la Unidad para la Coordinaci\u00f3n de los Trabajos de Igualdad de G\u00e9nero y Erradicaci\u00f3n de la Violencia Pol\u00edtica en Raz\u00f3n de G\u00e9nero (UCTIGEVP), las madres que necesiten ingresar pueden solicitarlo en el Consultorio M\u00e9dico del IEEM o con personal de Servicios Generales.

Al contar con dicho servicio, se evitan pr\u00e1cticas que ponen en riesgo la lactancia y la calidad de la leche materna; adem\u00e1s, se garantizan derechos al tiempo que el IEEM cumple con lo dispuesto por el Reglamento de la Ley para la Protecci\u00f3n, Apoyo y Promoci\u00f3n a la Lactancia Materna del Estado de M\u00e9xico que establece que las instituciones p\u00fablicas y privadas son responsables de instalar y acondicionar espacios que sirvan como lactarios o salas de lactancia, vigilando su correcto funcionamiento, mantenimiento y uso.

Cabe destacar que la normativa en la materia fue emitida en 2014, por lo que el IEEM, al aperturar su Lactario en 2015, fue una de las primeras instituciones p\u00fablicas de la entidad en cumplir con este ordenamiento.
