Como parte de las actividades del Octubre Rosa, mes de conciencia, solidaridad y prevenci\u00f3n del c\u00e1ncer de mama, el Instituto Electoral del Estado de M\u00e9xico (IEEM), a trav\u00e9s de la Unidad Coordinadora de G\u00e9nero (UCG), llev\u00f3 a cabo el taller C\u00e1ncer de mama: prevenir, diagnosticar y tratar, con el objetivo de informar y brind\u00f3 herramientas pr\u00e1cticas para la detecci\u00f3n oportuna de esta enfermedad, dirigido servidoras p\u00fablicas electorales del \u00f3rgano electoral.
Durante la sesi\u00f3n, a la que asistieron 82 mujeres, Ana Laura Guadarrama, acad\u00e9mica de la Universidad Aut\u00f3noma del Estado de M\u00e9xico (UAEMex), destac\u00f3 que es fundamental sumarse a los esfuerzos que, a\u00f1o con a\u00f1o, se realizan en este mes para concientizar tanto a mujeres como a hombres sobre el c\u00e1ncer de mama, enfatizando que la prevenci\u00f3n y la atenci\u00f3n temprana pueden marcar la diferencia.
Guadarrama L\u00f3pez expuso los conceptos acerca de los siguientes temas: epidemiolog\u00eda y factores de riesgo, C\u00e1ncer de mama en hombres, prevenci\u00f3n detecci\u00f3n temprana, autoexploraci\u00f3n y mastograf\u00eda, adem\u00e1s dio consejos sobre estilos de vida saludables.
Por su parte, Mar\u00eda del Carmen Dionicio Shingu, Jefa de Enfermeras de la Cl\u00ednica Multidisciplinaria de Salud de la UAEM\u00e9x, subray\u00f3 que este taller pr\u00e1ctico les proporciona estrategias esenciales para identificar oportunamente posibles signos de alerta.
Durante la sesi\u00f3n, la especialista mostr\u00f3 la t\u00e9cnica correcta de autoexploraci\u00f3n mamaria y las participantes tuvieron la oportunidad de practicarla con apoyo de un maniqu\u00ed, reforzando as\u00ed los conocimientos adquiridos para aplicarlos en su revisi\u00f3n cotidiana.
Adem\u00e1s, como parte de las acciones conmemorativas en la lucha contra el c\u00e1ncer de mama, el IEEM ilumin\u00f3 su edificio de color rosa, como s\u00edmbolo de esperanza, solidaridad y de compromiso institucional. Asimismo, durante octubre se difunden en las redes sociales institucionales infograf\u00edas conmemorativas que promueven la concientizaci\u00f3n.
Con estas acciones, el IEEM reafirma su responsabilidad con la salud y el bienestar de su personal, fomentando una cultura de sensibilizaci\u00f3n que inspira a actuar, a cuidarse y a cuidar de las y los dem\u00e1s.
